Champaign-Urbana Community

Champaign-Urbana Illinois Community

Champaign-Urbana can be described a ‘little city' with the feel of a small town combined with attractions for all; both residents and visitors have a wide array of things to do and see. Champaign Illinois is home to the largest campus of the University of Illinois, better known as the fighting Illini.

Champaign is a city of graceful art deco architecture, now powered by an economy closely integrated into the new realities of the knowledge revolution. This lively and progressive community caters to a diverse mix of intellectual, artistic and recreational pursuits.

Reversing the trend to unbridled suburban sprawl, Champaign has recently embarked on an ambitious and successful campaign to revitalize its downtown core with the establishment of shopping, businesses, cafes and restaurants, and condominiums within a preserved architectural environment, creating a sophisticated urban ambience that sits comfortably with its status as Silicon Valley Mideast.

Champaign is no sleepy bedroom community!
